I've been feeling so off for a while now ... including taking steroids and pain meds for my plantar fasciitis. I feel like when something fun is on the horizon, I can't focus on anything BUT that.
For instance, brother and I are seeing Chevy Metal on Sunday night, which is a 70s and 80s rock cover band with most of the Foo Fighters in it. Of COURSE we had to go (in fact, I bought tickets during one of the Jacksonville Con panels because that's when they announced them!). Then I found out they're playing in Milwaukee tomorrow night during and after the Milwaukee Bucks (basketball) game so I asked around and talked a friend into going with me. Bought floor seats for $50 (the Bucks are soooo baaaad) and we're driving up right after work. Even when I told myself to stop spending so much money, I just felt like I HAD to do something fun and spontaneous right now.
What's the last spontaneous thing you did that had great rewards??
