I swear I did not intend to drop off the planet. Work got super busy again and then I had a lot of personal plans going on - mostly good - and in the meantime also sold my piece of shit laptop to my brother so my nephew could have something ... and of course that's when I realize I could actually use a laptop at home. Whoops.
I also went camping in Southwestern Wisconsin this past weekend with no cell service and a wonderful few days on a pontoon boat, canoeing, playing games around the campfire, etc. It was a lovely break, though I went into it with the startings of a cold and then everything blew up Monday when I returned and I've been home sick since then. TERRIBLE timing with Chicon in just two days. Blergh. Though I do feel like I'm over the hump and am just feeling blah and halfway miserable instead of BLAHHHHH and all the way miserable.
In random TV news, I finally watched Stranger Things last week and I have to admit that it took me a lil while to get into it but then once I was halfway through OMG I LOVED ALL THE CHILDREN. AND WAS HAVING SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT ELEVEN AND EGGOS IN THE FOREST AND WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF JENSEN WOULD BE ELEVEN OR JARED WITH ALL OF THE DESPERATE CALLING OUT FOR MIKE. <33333 I so want to rewatch it now that I'm more invested. I was a bit distracted in the first few episodes while doing some sewing and such, so that surely didn't help.
Did anyone watch The Night Of? I was into it but then hated the end for numerous reasons. I was also very aggravated with some of the trial stuff going on - I've watched too many crime shows - and yet I understand how/why some of it went the way it did.
My parents are now trying to convince me to watch American Crime on Netflix. There's this nagging thing for me that it should totally be up my alley but I'm afraid I will be disappointed for some reason or another. Any suggestions?
