I am absurdly happy today. It's a beautiful thing for love, of all kinds, to be accepted and honored FINALLY throughout this country.

I am bursting with excitement that SO MUCH has changed in this country in the last 10 years*, and I'm so happy to have been here to witness it. And even more happy that the next generation is coming up in a world that will seem absolutely right to acknowledge and appreciate any union of love.




*and I recognize that A) there is so much more to change and B) some things will remain the same. I'm just trying to focus on the happy today. You can't always stare into the darkness looking for light ... sometimes the light is RIGHT. THERE. waiting to be acknowledged in spite of it all.
