dugindeepI was terribly exhausted from the busy weekend that I slept in yesterday, driving into work around 10am so I could rest a bit more. Then we worked until 10pm, so I didn't feel AS BAD for having come in late when I had my car to take me home (35-minute drive vs. 1-hour-15-minute train that runs only once every hour that time of night?). But I wasn't home until almost 11 (after driving coworker near his place, too) then couldn't get to sleep until nearly 1am.
And so I overslept this morning and wound up taking the latest express train possible, plus encountering train delays, and being 45 minutes late to work. My boss was not impressed to hear I had worked so late (not mad at me, but the client manager/assignment) and told me to go home early some day this week. Except it's now coming up on 5:30pm (my normal time to go home) and I have a 40-page document to proof, 12 forms to get signed by client manager, plus a two-page cover letter to get approved and signed ... and a missing client manager.
Plus the building has turned off the AC because it's 'after hours.' Oh yay. How I love this place.
