Last night I went with my dad and brother to see Iron Sky in a special viewing. It was as ridiculous as a movie about Nazis on the moon could be. There was lots of laughing and lots of drinking and hilarious moments with them ... like when my dad asked the waitress how big the pizzas were and she said "About 10 inches," and he replied "Oh that sounds good," and my brother and I raced to say "That's what she said!" Cue my father's hilariously embarrassed laughter, as well as the waitress's.

After I got home, I watched Chopped for a while and then around 11:15, it dawned on me that I was working in our suburban office today to go to a doctor's appointment and that I had left my laptop in the Downtown office. Because I was rushing to leave for the movie and am a total fucking moron. I decided to drive down at that time, which actually wasn't too bad? I burned a quick CD then hopped in the car and was in front of my building in like 25 minutes. The only downside is that the building is remodeling our elevator lobby (on our floor) and apparently they decided to rip up the carpeting after 5pm. When I came out of the elevator and onto our floor, my flip flops STUCK to the sticky ground. It took probably longer for me to walk across the lobby to the front door than it did for me to be in the office to grab my stuff, LOL. I got back home in another 30 minutes and promptly went to bed.

During that time, it was also brought to my attention that rpf_big_bang drafts are due at the end of the month and the full story is due mid-September ... when I thought it was polybigbang that was due then. Whoops! Upside is that I already have 17k of the rpf-bb story I want to use, but it's going to take AT LEAST that to finish it and I haven't touched in monnnnnnths. Whoops!
