Two months ago ...
Dec. 10th, 2018 11:08 amI haven't posted something non-fic in two months and ... I did not realize it was that long LOL.
My last update was about the new job ... yet I hadn't started it yet. I'm now on like week 5 or 6? And it's interesting. Different. Slower pace. A lot to figure out in terms of their processes, institutional knowledge, people, etc., but it's fine. It's so very fine to not be overworked with regular overtime. Though it is so very, very, very different to be underworked ... I don't think I've yet to put in a full 30 hours (not to mention it's a 40-hour workweek) except the first week when I had one day of onboarding and meet & greet with people at headquarters followed by four days of training.
The upside is I have time to doing fandom things again! Like playing around on Twitter, writing, reading, and even wrapping up
spn_cinema. Speaking of >>> check out this year's SPN_Cinema Master List! There are so many great pieces to read, look, and listen to :D
> Finally FINALLY got myself TSA Pre-checked. You'd think for all the travel I've done the last few years that I would have done it already, but nope. I am such a procrastinator at random things, so it was nice to finally run out and finish up the application/appointment process.
> The last few days of my break between jobs, I did a huge clear out of my apartment. Probably threw out like a dozen bags of garbage/things hiding in random drawers, closets, etc., and also took four bags of clothes to charity. Mind you, I took like 6-7 bags to charity back in July when I tried clearing out all my clothes O_O
> Work sent me two large monitors, a docking station, keyboard, and pretty, pretty, pretty inkjet printer/scanner to set up my home office. It's so nice to have a full set up ... and also, having cleared out my bedroom of so much clutter, it's a clear space on my desk and side table. I just need to get a new lamp to add in here for better lighting when it gets late afternoon and that stupid sun goes away.
> I've been eating a lot better since June, when I went off my anti-depressants (with dr's oversight, but still not fun at all to titrate off after seven years of taking it). Here and there I work out, but then I seem to find a reason to not do it ... November, I had a sinus infection for two weeks. I started the elliptical again last week then the next day, I started my period and I've been miserable the last few days with that. BUT, overall, I've lost about 35 pounds at this point. I have plenty more to go, but I feel good that I lost 35 since June with just generally watching what I eat (I still splurge on special occasions, like going out with friends or hanging with the family) and the bare minimum of exercise. It'll be good when I can finally get onto a program that I keep with.
> I'm working on my
spn_j2_xmas fic and am really stupidly excited about it! I hope to post in the coming days as it's already up to 17,000 words and I'm hoping to wrap it up in another 7,000? IDK, I'm always writing far more than planned. Words, too many words.
