My lovely bb akintay got me for spn_j2_xmas and wrote Just Let Me Enjoy It Until It's Over, or Forever: Jared's been in love with Jensen since the moment he first saw him. Unfortunately, Jensen thinks Jared is an idiot. Featuring workplace pining, potentially-assy!Jensen, and forever-pining-and-clumsy!Jared. The premise alone made me all warm and gooey and then I read it and got all ♥ over it. Go read it now!

I was up until like 2am watching all of the Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills documentaries on HBO OnDemand last night. Three parts, nearly seven hours in total, but so riveting. I'll admit I think the first part is kinda sluggish and not so interesting ... but maybe it's just how quickly the others picked up with the updates. Now I must read all the stories since the last part was filmed last year. I then slept until 11am today, with some of the STRANGEST dreams, but whatever. I am well slept now!

I have no plans between now and NYE, except returning presents (my parents got me the West Wing seasons I was missing for a complete collection but they also gave me a season I already had - as did my cousin lol), bowling tomorrow, and meeting up with a friend Friday. So I must writewritewrite like the wind \0/

Ugh, and now I'm back at work and still incredibly tired and wiped out because the whole weekend really was full of shenanigans, including my friends all pitching in to get my birthday announcement on the scoreboard at the Milwaukee Brewers game, counting beers and shots with hashmarks on my arms, having an entire beer spilled over my feet while riding the bus back from the game, singing American Pie in a nearly deserted sports bar (well deserted aside from our dozen friends), and sweating my ass off because it was 90 the entire time. But it was a great, memorable weekend and I LOVE YOU ALL THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Yesterday, in between work and a haircut and watching UFC, I read fic (I'm so good at multi-tasking, yanno). And I realized that I might just have a new favorite fic setup: farms and ranches and cabins, oh my. Then I thought, hey, why not put them all in one place because I'm pretty sure other people like it, too. Because I immediately thought of 4-5 fics that I adore. I love how these each have a lazy kind of way of luring me in and dragging the characters together. Nice and not exactly easy, but comfortable in a way. Maybe because I grew up suburban and spend most of my waking hours in a busy city, I like to sit back with the simpler life.
