Blergh to the nth degree

Ugh, I had this whole post typed up about drama in my family, just to get it out, then I deleted because who really cares about that? LOL
The last week or so have been crazy with the family, with my parents' house being flooded in last week's torrential downpour across the Chicago suburbs, work, trying to write my Big Bang, and catching up on tons of TV.
Speaking of TV, I have anger with The Following and Hannibal and Hemlock Grove
I did not get to watch last night's episode because of said-family drama, but just 3 hours after the episode aired, I read a post on Facebook that said "THAT DAMN BITCH EMMA HOW DARE SHE KILL JACOB."
Now. Capslocks and poor punctuation aside ... I AM SO PISSED THAT I READ THIS BEFORE WATCHING THE EPISODE. I'M ALSO VERY PISSED THAT THIS SHOW KILLED OFF THE BEST PAIRING TO EVER EXIST ON FOX TV.
Ahem. Okay, maybe not really the best, but seriously. Paul/Jacob were pretty much the only thing keeping me invested after a few episodes. I mean, come on, Ryan Hardy is supposedly badass but he SUUUUUUCKS at clearing a room/house/space. They all do. Thus why everyone keeps getting attacked whenever they go anywhere. and Clare is a fucking moron for just about everything she's done on this show.
Ugh.
And then onto Hannibal. I really wanted to like this. I really, really, really did. I enjoy Hugh Dancy and Lawrence Fishburn, both. And Silence of the Lambs is one of my all-time favorite movies ... but seriously. I cannot stand the dude playing Hannibal. IDK if it's because it's not Anthony Hopkins, who obviously mastered that role, or if it's the strong accent that I can never understand, or how weird looking I find the guy, or just something else entirely that I can't put my finger on. But I see so many people FLAILING over it on Facebook and Twitter and I'm confused as to how I'm hating it so much.
I think I shall just rewatch all the Hannibal-related movies (though now Manhunter, that one is just LULZY now).
This weekend, I also tried to watch Hemlock Grove and after 2.5 episodes, I turned it off. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WAS HAPPENING OR WHY IT WAS HAPPENING. I obviously had no clue what the story really was other than what Netflix said about a young girl's murder and the town turning on itself ... which, for the crime-story lover that I am, that sounded so promising ... and then it was like ... What? I don't even know. I honestly don't understand half of what was going on in that show and I had to quit it.
I then watched Bachelorette, which surprised me by being more off-color than I had imagined was possible from a 'chick flick' and then also making me cry a handful of times. Pretty danged good, and surprising, movie.
I have nothing else to report except my Big Bang is finally up to 12K, not including the scene that may or may not have lost when transferring the file between computers D: Someone remind me why I signed up when I DECLARED last year I would not do this again?
And my kitters are getting bigger and bigger, and cuter and cuter. (I may have planted that mouse but he didn't seem to mind)
