If anyone thought I took train etiquette too seriously ... check this out. It's on my train system.

Fight starts when man makes a phone call on the quiet car.

The little guy is obviously drunk - more obvious the longer the video goes on and he starts slurring. Also, who uses the Board of Trade as a legitimate threat? LOL

I love in the comments how people start to consider what would have happened if just one more person stood up to tell the guy to not make that phone call ... how more people would have supported the notion. It's interesting to me as I've seen 1,000 episodes of ABC's What Would You Do and they test crap like this all the time. However, this comment really gets it: yeah, but that's not as entertaining as spectating raw street fighting on your way home from your bloodless office job.

In other news, I started to read The Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, which is a mix of data and anecdotes from the COO of Facebook on how women are perceived differently (and act differently) than men in the professional world, and how us women can change that. I heard of it a while ago as the author was on the Daily Show promoting it ... then last weekend, my cousin-in-law pushed it onto me based on a lengthy work discussion (including my saying that if I speak up too much to client managers, I'm said to have 'an attitude', but they can steamroll us all day long). I know that right now I'm overworked, exhausted, and emotional in that time of the month, but instead of being empowered, I wound up tearing up while reading on my flight back from a work meeting last night ... and then feeling worse through some sections because it rings so true ... on the other hand, I always thought a lot of how I behave to minimize the divide was bad of ME to do, as in trying to minimize my own issues, not that it's typically the rule. Like how I don't often step up to say no or point out when things aren't right and need to change, when so many men tend to do it. So that was extremely interesting.

For anyone interested in gender roles and/or in the corporate world, I highly recommend it!
