dugindeepI'm actually surprised I wasn't more bothered by last night's episode. I imagined I'd spend 40 minutes shaking my head and cringing. It really wasn't that bad! It wasn't anywhere near as fun and cracky as the days of old (see: Tall Tales, Hollywood Babylon, Folsom Prison Blues, Bad Day at Black Rock, Changing Channels), but it really could have been way worse. Though I hate that this has become my standard for whether an episode was bad or not lol.
However ...
1. NO! NOT THE CATS!
Seriously, though. WHY THE CATS??? I saw about five cat owners tweet some sort of outrage all at once (including myself) when the baddie went after the cats. :-\ As someone else on Twitter joked 'don't the writers know that a majority of their fandom are cat ladies?' I don't know why it bugged me so much, but it did.
2. "Does this dog look familiar to you?" Yes, it looks just like Pedo Dog 1.0.
3. "Trust me, Sammy [insert lie here]."
Ugh. So tired of all of this. I get that there's great drama in the boys being at odds with one another, but we have basically spent the last eight years with them hiding shit from one another and disagreeing on what's best for themselves and the world.
[spoiler from the previews] I'm equally tired of Cas's LET'S PLAY HUMAN games.
In conclusion. I think cat!Dean is still a way better idea.
