I am back! I have significantly fewer bug/mosquito/spider bites than I had last year. Also considerably less sunburn. Unfortunately I missed one random part on my back right shoulder and that is quite red, but the rest of me is pretty good (aside from a massive hangover. someone bring me greasy food, please?)

My phone died yesterday so I only got one photo -- sunset on the Michigan side of Lake Michigan. So gorgeous.

In other news, here are days Six and Seven.

Five Senses
LOOK: I'm facing the rest of the apartment and it is kind of a mess from packing Friday and not yet unpacking today.
TOUCH: My big, blue chair beneath and around me. The laptop lapdesk. And the ground.
HEAR: Clacking keys, Shep making lil noises for attention, and Lucy's nails digging in and out of the top of my big, blue chair.
TASTE: Nothing, just my plain ol' mouth.
SMELL: Somewhat clean since I took a nice, long shower as soon as I got home. Except once in a while I swear I'm catching a whiff of fire smoke from last night's bonfire.

Pet Hates
Pet peeves, yes? Immediate answer is people I encounter on my commute. I know I've complained about this before, but seriously ... people walking too slow, people taking up an entire seat to themselves when they don't have to, people with roller bags, people who don't watch where/how they're walking, people with headphones on too loud, people who cut you off to get out of your seat and off the train, people who don't walk on the left side of the escalators ... I could go on.

Other random pet peeves: people talking too loudly in their cubicles at work, people not following through, when my parents tell me repeated stories even when I say they've told me already, when my brother and dad talk about bowling (funny, I know, since I'm a bowler, but they get SO IN DEPTH with every story, kill me), and most definitely at this moment: mosquito bites.

Random note: I decided to unlock these because why the heck not? :D For those just joining the show, past days are here.

I actually don't listen to a lot of current radio. I don't drive often since I train it to/from work and most anything I do in the area is a short ride, and I mostly wind up listening to classic rock.

Either way, let's just play music roulette ...

For the next two days, I will be camping in Michigan! I got out of going to Detroit next week and working this weekend at all, so I'm finally taking a well-deserved, and exceptionally-needed mini getaway.

I will catch up on the next few days once I'm back and settled Sunday or Monday. Have a great weekend!

I think there are almost too many things to really think of and put in one place lol. I used to only really be afraid of spiders and then something happened in my mid-20s and anxiety started to come up with so many other things to be afraid of.

I'm still afraid of spiders (and bugs). But am now afraid of being alone forever. Of being overweight and ill, based on my aunt's near-death by blood clots and diabetes. Of being told I'm bad at being me, doing my job, being a friend, etc., to the point of passivity/ignorance. Of people lurking in shadows, thanks to all the crime shows I watch. Of being horrible with my money, after spending my mid-20s in debt.

The more silly, simple things are being afraid of management finding out I have not just one pet, but two. Getting badly sunburned this weekend while camping (also bug bites). Dying and/or cutting my hair and hating it. Posting Big Bang! Because posting fic is always scary AND exhilarating. Heights, though I love roller coasters and I go to Six Flags Great America often.

Favorite quote ... I don't really have one. My Facebook features a quote from Men in Black: We at the FBI do not have a sense of humor ... that we know of. But it's not like it's something live by. I'm trying to think of any good lyrics that really hit me, but IDK. Sometimes The Rolling Stones' "Can't Always Get What You Want" gets to me with You can't always get what you want / But if you try sometimes well you might find / You get what you need.

In my early 20s I used to say you're not learning if you're not really living, meaning that you don't learn anything by not doing anything. That the real learning process is about life and all that jazz, but part of me thinks I used it as an excuse to be an idiot and do anything I wanted ;-)

I figure it's good to have something ~positive~ to post about each day, rather than ranting about diets and work and other people ;-)

I don't even know what this is, but I'm drinking, watching random TV, want to write and post, but this came out.

Not technically original fic, more like random rambling )
