In other news, a work deadline just blew up wherein the client has finally clarified that they do not want just five projects but five projects PER category, of which there are five of those, and now I have to work all the fucking overtime in the world before Thursday afternoon, when I thought I was actually making really good time on how much I was getting done on this proposal. Add on the need to finish my polybigbang draft by midnight, Wednesday annnnnnd MOTHERFUCKINGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

~*Two Days Before Season 8 Friending Meme*~

I started Part Three of The Agent & the Analyst today and then work had to be rude and blow up and make me stay until 7:30pm to get a proposal out. RUDE, I TELL YA. And then I saw this gif and got super excited because I kinda see analyst!Jensen like that, with the tense face and the vest, but also with disheveled hair and glasses :D

I have spent the last ten minutes or so hyperventilating over this picture of Jensen's stupidly pretty face and eyes.



HIS EYES! HIS FRECKLES. HIS EYECRINKLES! AND THE PERFECTLY COIFFED HAIR! I CAN'T STAND IT! CAN. NOT.

And then I told raeschae "See! Even Jared knows it's stupidly ridiculous to be this ridiculously good looking. And then Jensen's just like *shrug* "What can ya do?"

In fun, fandom news that is not entirely focused on the way Jensen's green orbs make it hard for me to breathe at 9am on a Monday ... I was able to add a strong 6200 words to rpf_big_bang and have the story FINALLY on track. Before those words, I was lost on how to get to where I needed to be and now I get it. Though I realized I need to beef up some of what I put because it wound up just being movement and not, like, narration or anything. And then to make my 'new direction' work, I have to go back and add an entire scene I was avoiding because I wasn't sure how to set it up/describe it all. And then I still have like 10K or so to carry the story through to where I want it to be. Oh, the woes of writing! But at least I have TIME to do this now. Work a lil easy today and tomorrow and then I'm on vacation! I'll be doing actual things most of the time, but I have Wednesday off and then airport/flight time on Thursday to write.

Relatedly, the power fixture on my laptop is messed up and whenever I toggle the cord (inadvertently when I move with the laptop in - well - my lap and such), it trips between power and battery. So I took it to Best Buy, under warranty, and they wanted to ship it out right then and there for a prolonged period of time. They obviously underestimate my connection to the internet.

1. I'm stupidly amused that my Pandora station - which is set to The Black Keys - has to tell me why it's playing one of my favorite The Black Keys songs.

In more The Black Keys news, you must, must, must watch the video for Lonely Boy. Yes, that is the OFFICIAL VIDEO. I dear you to not fall in love with that dude.

3. I read through this article, partly on the train then before bed, and it was incredibly fascinating. The Chameleon: The many lives of Frédéric Bourdin. I don't want to give anything away, but my eyes bugged out as we got deeper into the Barclay family, Jesus.

5. So I have 5k of the Scandal fic I started early last week ... and then stalled out on. I just may have figured out how to fix it, however, I have literally no time to do it /0\ Relatedly, I might have finally figured out what to do with Springfling (OMG I am never doing a quick-turnaround challenge again because timing is always awful) but again, NO TIME TO WRITE BECAUSE ...

6. I GET kelleigh TODAY! She is flying in for my birthday, crashing on my couch until Sunday. In between I have to work and then we will drive up to Wisconsin for an annual Milwaukee Brewers trip I make with some friends. This year it just so happens to coincide with my birthday, so we'll be gone all weekend doing that.

7. Last week I spent an entire evening looking at Avengers bromance gifs. Mostly of the actors in interviews or press junkets or just hanging around and I could not get over Tom Hiddleston's face. I DON'T KNOW OKAY?! I KNOW HE IS NOT THAT ATTRACTIVE, REALLY, BUT BUT BUT. He is pretty much the only thing I liked about Thor and HE IS ALWAYS SO GLEEFUL.

It's just noon and I'm already having one of those days where I want to swipe everything off my desk and bury my head in the sand to cry for the rest of the day. SIGH.

But here are two fun things to cheer me (and maybe you) up.

1: In the January Rolling Stone The Black Keys' Patrick Carney said "Rock & roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world, so they became OK with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be [expletive]." In apology ... sort of ... he said recently "I didn't mean to single them out. It just came out. There's much worse bands than Nickelback ... maybe," he added in his half-hearted apology. When pressed on whether he is a music snob, Carney told MTV Canada. "I don't like bad music, but look, I've got a lot of friends and not one of them has a Nickelback record. I'm not a small minority."

Also, I tried googling Jensen Ackles Jared Padalecki hug and got a whole lotta pics that weren't hugging and many that weren't them two together, or even one of them at all. Way to go, Google. Way. To. Go.

I'm making this a separate post just 'cause. BUT! THE OSCARS! I've said before how much I love movies and took classes about them and always wanted to work in them and yadda yadda yadda ... well IDK but there was something in all the awards' pomp and circumstance this year that made me so joyous


... and that something is Jean Dujardin from The Artist!

This also reminds me that dryope and I had a well-supported theory that everyone was hotter with a BAFTA. MMHMM.

First off, that movie is so charming and precious. Yes, it gets long because there is nothing except music and adorable overacting, but I just ... I was so delighted through the whole thing to watch this man's face.

AND THEN HE HAD TO BE TEN TIMES MORE WONDERFUL IN PERSON. THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS! THEY MAKE ME HAPPY!

I COULD NOT STOP SMILING AND INTERNALLY FREAKING OUT.
