a song you that needs to be played LOUD
"Stacked Actors" by Foo Fighters

Honestly, I had plenty of other Foo Fighters songs to list, but then looked at the full meme and knew they would fit elsewhere. This is like a deep cut, back to their third album, little known. But I just love it sounds ... especially the opening and the heavy drums.

a song you like that reminds you of someone you'd rather forget about
"I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz

OOOOF. This is a hard one. And a long story ... but, just imagine in you're in your 20s, there's that guy you always liked, who finally admits he likes you back, but timing never worked to try something out as you both weave and in and out of being available. Then nearly 10 years later, you reconnect, he's getting a divorce, you're fully single. You're both new people but still feel the same, but it's still hard to find the right time and you're afraid to push yourself until someone gives you a pep talk and you decide to just fucking go for it. Feelings be damned.

This song became my anthem after that pep talk ... and yet. I was burned once. Again.

I still love this song, and it took a few years to get past it. Though I sometimes still get bitter and hate the guy.

a song you like that reminds you of summertime
"Steal My Sunshine" by Lit

This honestly was the second thing to jump into my head ... after Will Smith "Summertime" but I thought that was too on the nose LOL

I've been having trouble getting LJ to load on Firefox or Explorer (this the link, and not embedding the video) Anyone else? It's been happening for two days now. I've been updating things (including this post) on my phone ... which only works for so much?

a song you like with a number in the title
"It Takes Two" by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock

Such a classic from my childhood! LOL

In other news, I'm signed up for [livejournal.com profile] spn_cinema to do The Fighter with [livejournal.com profile] quickreaver. I'm so excited to do it, and yet reluctant when writing because I've had this idea for years. I saw a meme the other day that said writing is like a muscle, the more you use it, the easier/better it is. And I'm realizing how hard it is to write in the last year or so when I'm doing it all the time. Like second guessing everything I'm doing. But I'm sure everyone has that problem from time to time :)

Also, watched Baby Bootcamp today, with Danneel in it. Literally everyone who had a line of dialogue has been on Supernatural. I kept looking everyone up!

A song you like with a color in the title
"Yellow" by Coldplay

I have LOVED this song since the moment it come out. I used to listen to Parachuttes every day/night that first year it came out. Still love so much about early Coldplay.

I had promised new Domestic Dreams fic for [livejournal.com profile] smpc this last Sunday, but time got away from me and I had to postpone. I'm now posting on July 2! I did reread the other two fics to get back into and saw a weird formatting issues in the second story and half of a scene was missing! LOL Then I was wondering how in the heck anyone read that part without really realizing it? IDK.

Random things I'm into now ...
>> I've been obsessed with Shark Tank lately, watching reruns everyday, even when I've seen them already. On one hand, I enjoy seeing the new creations ... then on the other, I am relishing in all the negotiating and fighting LOL
>> I also started watching The Handmaiden's Tale on Hulu. I originally said I couldn't do it because it would be too real. But I finally gave it a shot and watched like 3-4 eps in a row. It's still all too real but also really amazing. Makes me remember so many glorious fics I've read of a similar theme. J2 goes good for everything, right???
>> Went to Hamilton for Broadway in Chicago a few weeks ago with the parents and LOVED IT. Then saw it again this last weekend with [livejournal.com profile] tebtosca and [livejournal.com profile] fiercelynormal visiting and still love it. I keep watching random youtube clips of it and lament that I didn't care to get into it earlier.

And in case you missed it ... Two weeks ago, I posted my [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang ...

Wandering Lost
Hired by an eccentric billionaire, Jensen is tasked with transporting a '55 Ford F-100 from California to New York. After the car breaks down, he's stuck in the middle of Nebraska and spends a week getting to know a whole mix of oddballs he'd never spend a minute with back in NYC. "Not all who wander are lost," but Jensen's a little of both as he warms up to the townspeople and the local handyman, who is equal parts peculiar and charming. And maybe he even finds himself along the way.

My darling [livejournal.com profile] kelleigh wrote a charming fic for my birthday!! Understandably came a few days late as she spent last week helping me whip my Big Bang into shape! HEHEH.

RUN DON'T WALK TO THIS FIC!!!

Title: InSecurity
Summary: Along with Jensen's new title of 'Unit Leader' came a better parking spot, a significant raise, and a fancy new office from which he could arrange secret missions and watch his team (his own team! Filling out their own paperwork in triplicate!) from behind floor-to-ceiling walls of metal and glass. Jensen had everything else. Getting a nemesis was the obvious next step. Based very loosely on the Canadian show, InSecurity.

Sooooooooo many lovely little jewels in here that were right up my alley, like suited up Jensen, banter, grumpy Jensen, competency, spy Jensen, and adorable Jared being super cute and lovely and winning uptight Jensen over :DDDDD

Notes: First off, to [livejournal.com profile] wendy for continuing to run this monster challenge all on her own. I can't imagine the patience and fortitude it takes to wrangle everyone together, or the care to continue loving and encouraging all the fabulous people in this fandom and keep up a beautiful tradition.

To my artist [livejournal.com profile] thruterryseyes: Thank you so much for all of your hard work!! So many pieces make me feel so much joy, for the moments you selected, the lines of dialogue you added, or the particular pictures to illustrate my story. Thank you so much for picking me! And for putting up with all of my lateness throughout the last month. You're very kind and patient :)

To one of my favorite people in the entire universe, [livejournal.com profile] kelleigh. There aren't enough thank yous in the world for the time you committed to helping me whip this into shape. And also thank you SO MUCH for your constructive criticism that made this story so much stronger than what I had originally pulled together. I value the input and support more than you will ever know. 110% stellar beta from top to bottom, and I continue to love you every day for being my friend and support <3333

Quick run by thanks to [livejournal.com profile] zubeneschamali, [livejournal.com profile] rozearkana, [livejournal.com profile] cherie_morte, [livejournal.com profile] deirdre_c, and [livejournal.com profile] quickreaver for cheering me on, brainstorming together, and being such lovely people as I raced in fits and starts to write this story. I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR.
