I've been on two work trips now with absolutely NO travel horror stories *knocks on wood*

Cleveland is not an exciting place, but the people are nice, and it's often a good break to get away from the office and only focus on one thing for a day or two straight. Next weekend, [livejournal.com profile] rozearkana and I are taking a road trip to visit [livejournal.com profile] zubeneschamali then two weekends later we're flying out for DC con to see the lovelies of [livejournal.com profile] riyku and [profile] user.

Otherwise, I have been removed from pretty much all things fandom - aside from bursts of Twitter activity. Work has been crazy busy and then I work late and/or go home and veg. As is my MO. I've only glanced at masquerade twice so far, including spending last Saturday dumping dozens of prompts. But have had no thoughts on or time to consider writing.

Totally random, but I highly recommend checking out Leon Bridges' album. It's beautiful and a classic send-back to old school R&B/Motown. I listen to it nonstop. Along with Nathaniel Rateliff, which is kinda like a funky, playful Zac Brown, but with more blues. Both extremely good :D

I don't have any real #happythings today, mostly because I'm tired and bored and maybe a lil hungover from staying up too late last night. I didn't drink that much, but I've noticed that because I'm not young anymore sleep is the real relief after having more than a drink or two.

> Once in a while, my eyes get real funky and there's this gunk that forms then irritates me. So I always try to get it out, mostly because it blurs my vision, and then my eyes get irritated, and more gunk comes along and I keep touching my eyes and and and. It's very annoying. And it's happening right now.

> I have been SO gung-ho on work lately and yet today I am just staring at the screen, wishing I had something more interesting to work on. I have to start ~writing~ my newest proposal and somehow I can't gear up the will to get going.

> I took a short nap over lunch and my one arm was bent upward so it fell asleep. When I woke up, it took a good five minutes until all the pins-and-needles stopped. During that whole time I kept imagining how the blood rushes back into the arm and who in the world ever first said "my arm fell asleep!" Why is it related to sleeping?? I can still use it!
